Prem Chhetri is a highly experienced awyer with a legal career spanning over 25 years. He is the founder of the aw firm Chhetri Lawyers and currently serves as a Senior Panel Counsel for the Union of India.

Beyond his legal profession, Mr. Chhetri is deeply committed to social and cultural causes,particuarly the promotion, protection, and preservation of the Nepali anguage, culture, and traditions. In pursuit of this mission, he founded the prestigious Hamro Swabhiman Trust alongside.Narayan Shrestha on November 23, 2012. The Trust was officially registered on June 21, 2013, and has been organizing the annual Haritalika Teej Mahotsav at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi since 2014.The festival has become a significant cultural celebration for the Nepali community in India. He is also the legal advisor of INFFA.
